경제학과

미국 로체스터대학에서 경제학박사를 취득하였다. 삼성금융연구소의 수석연구원으로 금융산업 및 거시경제환경에 대한 연구를 하였으며, 하나은행 이코노미스트로서 거시경제와 국제금융 분야의 실무를 경험했다. 대외경제정책연구원에서 국제금융 및 거시팀장을 지냈다. 전남대학교를 거쳐서 가톨릭대학에서 경제학을 강의하고 있다. 주로 거시 및 국제금융 분야의 데이터 분석을 기반으로 한 연구를 지속하고 있다.

졸업 후  대외경제정책연구원 연구위원으로 1997년 입사한 후 외환위기시 정부를 지원하였으며, WTO 협상과 한-칠레FTA 협상을 지원하고 참여하였으며, APEC 차원에서 뉴질랜드, 필리핀과 대만의 보고르 목표 정책평가자 역할을 하였고,  OECD 규제개혁 검토 및 정부와 OECD간 각종 규제개혁 협동작업에도 참여하였다.  이 때 주 업무는 한미통상마찰이었다.  2003년 가톨릭대학교에 들어온 후, 국제통상(특히 정부조달, 무역원활화, 통상정책)과 국제경제, 거시경제, 경제성장 및 규제와 규제개혁 부문에서 교육과 연구 및 정부지원 작업을 하고 있다,

After graduation, from 1997 to 2003, I was a research fellow at Korea Institute for International Economics (KIEP) where my tasks included supporting the government during the 1997 financial crisis, supporting WTO and Korea-Chile FTA negotiations, serving as APEC Bogor Goal Peer Reviewer for New Zealand, the Philippines and Chinese Taipei (Taiwan), supporting the government during OECD regulatory reform review for Korea, as well as working with OECD on projects relating to regulatory reform, and Korea-US trade relationship.  Since joining the faculty of the Catholic University in 2003, I have been working and doing research on international trade (especially on areas of government procurement, trade facilitation, and trade policy), international economics, macroeconomics, economic growth. as well as regulation and regulatory reform.

린위쑤안 박사는 2014년부터 가톨릭대학교 경제학과에서 근무하고 있으며, 현재 부교수로 재직 중입니다. 영국 요크 대학교에서 경제학 박사학위를 수여 받았으며, 실험 경제학자로서 환경 및 농업 경제학뿐만 아니라 혁신적인 교수 방법론을 전문으로 합니다. 교육 경력 동안에는 플립러닝(flipped learning), 프로젝트 기반 학습, 그리고 교실 내 실험을 결합한 하이브리드 교수 방법을 개발했습니다. 최근 연구 관심사는 실험 방법론에 중점을 두고 있으며, 특히 농업 및 환경 정책, 고등 교육 정책 및 불확실성 하의 의사 결정 분야에서 이루어지고 있습니다. 

Dr. Yu-Hsuan Lin has been with the Department of Economics at The Catholic University of Korea since 2014, currently serving as an Associate Professor. He earned his PhD in Economics from the University of York in the United Kingdom. As an experimental economist, he specializes in environmental and agricultural economics, as well as in innovative teaching methodologies. Throughout his teaching career, he has developed a hybrid teaching approach that combines flipped learning, project-based learning, and classroom experiments. 

His recent research interests focus on experimental methodology, particularly in the areas of agricultural and environmental policies, higher education policy, and decision-making under uncertainty. 

(1) 순수이론측면에서 경제주체들이 전략적으로 상호작용하는 상황에서 정보의 불완전성이 얽히며 나타나는 인식의 상호작용, (2) 산업조직론적 응용측면에서 소비자의 다점구매행위, 체험샵등을 통한 수평적으로 차별화된 정보전달의 전략적 결정, 기업의 동태적 가격책정, (3) 노동경제학 측면에서 개인의 직업선택이 불평등의 심화에 미치는 영향,  자녀의 초기인적자본 형성에 미치는 부모의 역할 등을 이론적으로 연구하고 있다. 존스홉킨스대학에서 2017년 박사학위를 받았으며, 각종 국제학회와 SSCI급 국제학술지에 관련된 논문들을 발표했다. 그 외에도 경제학 내 다양한 분야에서 이루어지는 이론적 활동과 그 결과물인 모형들에 관심이 있다. 

금융위기의 실물경제 파급, 기업 자금조달, 국제자본흐름, 인구고령화의 거시적 영향, 지속가능금융 등 국제거시경제학 주제들에 대해 실증적으로 연구하고 있다. 2019년 스위스의 제네바국제개발대학원에서 박사학위를 받았으며, 이후 에너지경제연구원에 재직하였다. 2025년 3월부터 가톨릭대학교에 재직 중이다. SSCI와 Scopus 등재지 및 서적 등에 연구논문들을 발표하였다. 

My research focuses on topics at the intersection of empirical macroeconomics and international finance, including firm financing, capital flows, demographic changes, and sustainable finance. I obtained a Ph.D. from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2019. After that, I worked at Korea Energy Economics Institute until February 2025. Since March 2025, I have been with the Catholic University of Korea. My research articles have been published in SSCI- and Scopus-indexed journals, as well as in a book chapter.
